Travel and adventure have long been the inspirations behind my photography. I like to put myself in remote, obscure places simply because they're remote and obscure, and if the light happens to work out, then I bring back a great photo to remember the experience. I rarely head out in sole pursuit of a particular photo or composition. Perhaps this is limiting, but I think it adds a layer of authenticity and diversity to my photography portfolio. I include this image here, because it captures my travel vehicle of choice from '02 to '20, a 1984 Toyota Landcruiser I named Lucille, camped in one of my favorite places in the American West.
